Direct Engagement with Global Investors
Bahrain EDB’s outreach to the tourism and leisure industry extends globally, reaching the major conferences and conventions that investment decision makers frequently attend. These forums include the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, Global Restaurant Investment Forum, World Retail Congress, World Travel Market, the Internationale Tourismus-Borse, and the Hotel Investment Conference. Investment promotion campaigns, which include one-to-one meetings with companies, throughout the GCC and in select global markets such as China, Turkey and several European countries are also key to the EDB’s strategy.
Alongside a presence at high-profile events, a program of local roundtable meetings were drawn up for each quarter with the aim of creating a collaborative real estate development approach for the country.
Real estate stakeholders from across the private and public sector are brought together to identify solutions to the main challenges facing the sector and to share their general development plans for the future.
The combination of tourism and real estate offers mutual benefit to each of the sectors. As an example, Bahrain EDB is introducing an online portal which offers a mapping system to introduce potential investors and real estate developers to opportunities within the Kingdom.
Overall, Bahrain EDB’s focus is on identifying and promoting potential investment opportunities through collaboration with international offices, operators and investors.
